Norway – Hiking from Lyngen Lodge

This programme is located in Norway in the same area of the Lyngen Alps as the previous programme and has the same characteristics from a ski touring point of view.
The difference is that we will be staying in a very comfortable lodge, located in the heart of the main ski area of the region.
This lodge is the only one of its kind and opened its doors last November for its first season in the winter of 2008. The comfort is excellent with a large living room – fireplace, friendly dining room, refined kitchen, 8 bedrooms for 2 people with bathroom and toilet, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi.
And all this just a few metres from the edge of the Lyngen Fjord facing the Lyngen Alps. ( See pictures below)
This lodge was created by an English mountain guide, together with his Norwegian wife, and is exclusively dedicated to a ski touring clientele. Therefore, all the organisation of the lodge is exclusively based on this activity and therefore offers an incomparable service for the practice of our favourite sport.
Every day, the ski areas are reached by a comfortable and fast closed boat or by mini-bus for the hikes accessible by the small road along the fjord. This programme is designed for those of you who have the desire to
ski touring in this incomparable setting, but which was rejected by the fact of staying in a boat with the promiscuity and comfort of a refuge style boat. Even if it has very pleasant sides and we will continue to organize this type of trips on the boat,
