Ski touring around Maniitsoq
Just below the Arctic Circle, the Maniitsoq region where this programme takes place is particularly suited to skiing. For those who have already come with us to Norway, we find a bit of the same Nordic country atmosphere, exceptional lights, mountains literally falling into the sea but wilder, rougher and the polar fauna on top of that. We will frequently see whales.
During 6 days we will travel up new slopes overlooking the fjords in search of breathtaking scenery and the best snow possible.
Our base is an old fishing boat, the Kisaq, a 25 m long boat with 7 cabins for 2 people, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. Large saloon with dining room, lounge, bar, TV. It has been refitted as a cruising boat specially equipped for sailing in the polar region! A true floating refuge, it moves peacefully to drop you off each day in a different place.

The climbs, which range from 800 to 1,300 m in height, start at sea level and the difficulty and length of the routes are chosen according to the level and shape of the participants. Each day we move to a new area and it is a privileged moment to relax at your convenience: resting in your cabin, meeting in the saloon to chat, listen to music or, on the deck, fishing cod or taking photos…
